Siemens chose Greyton Pty Ltd to carry out the passive fire protection contract at the Haymarket Sub-station because of their reputation as an experienced and professional provider of these services in the commercial and industrial sector.

The scope consisted of protection to all slab and wall penetrations as well as intumescent fire spray coating to the high voltage cables. The work was technically complex due to the stringent requirements of TransGrid and Energy Australia. All areas had to be treated with care due to the sensitive nature of the surrounding plant and equipment. Our programme was critical factor in the project, as the sub station had to be operational in just over a month from when we engaged Greyton.

The work, to a total value of $280K, was carried out in a professional manner by a committed team of tradesmen headed by Greyton's Project Manager, Mike Moore. Greyton delivered within the 6-week deadline to the highest standard and quality.
