Currently underway this heritage redevelopment is being carried out by Mirvac and Transfield and has offered some significant challenges for Greyton. The main works involved removing lead paint from existing steel facade beams and fire rating them with Intumescent Paint. This process has been detailed under ‘Steel Protection’. The FRL requirement was 2 hours which meant achieving a dry film thickness of up to 4mm in some areas. Other works completed include joint sealing, Vermiculite spray to steel and ducts, sealing of services penetrations and constructing fire rated bulk-heads in calcium silicate boards
